The LPHCA

A Government recognised Trade Association representing Private Hire Operators in England.

Private Hire Vehicles (PHV’s) are controlled and operated by Private Hire Operators and Private Hire Drivers. PHV’s, unlike taxis, (which can be Publicly Hired off the Street), must be pre-booked through an Operator.

The LPHCA represents operators who are committed to high standards and a regulated industry.

This website contains information for our members and for the travelling public, in addition it contains a lots of information on the Private Hire Industry, our campaigns, our policies and most importantly information on how to get a car from one of our members.
