Transport Committee Enquiry
The Transport Select Committee inquiry into issues relating to the licensing of Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles took written evidence until Monday 20 December 2010.
The Committee in particularly was interested in cross-border hire problems caused by private hire vehicles picking up passengers on a large scale outside of the area in which they are licensed.
Evidence was also welcomed on other issues relating to Taxi and Private Hire Vehicles, including matters concerning passenger safety.
The LPHCA’s written evidence was accepted by the Committee and Chairman Steve Wright has given oral evidence on March 15th 2011.
